Why does my parental status matter? I don’t have children but if I did, I’d be saying the exact same things. I would love to have a daughter grow up knowing she can confidently move through this world without apologizing for herself or her talent. I would love to have a son who is able to understand the nuance of watching a performance like that and not feel threatened by it or entitled to a woman’s body. These women are successful beyond comprehension, both financially and all other ways, offering them the security that many will never experience in this life.
