Vena, thank you for this piece. I’ve recently taken a harder look at the benefits I gain as a mostly white-passing Asian-American woman and realized inaction is the same as complicity in many situations. I didn’t fully understand the hierarchy of triangulation until I looked at racism from a system-wide, vs. individual, view and that was really helpful for processing my own biases and reactions.
