It’s funny timing, I just had this conversation with someone new. He didn’t believe me either, going so far as to say, “I just can’t imagine you getting that worked up about something.” But I did, and I did a lot of the things you mention here. So did my ex, which is why we could never resolve what should have been (in hindsight) relatively minor disagreements. He also knew how to push all of my buttons and refused to let me “tap out” when I needed to collect my thoughts. Great writing, it reminded me of how far I’ve come in being able to address issues and disagreements.
