I experienced something similar while dating last year, and ironically it happened with a man whose profile proclaimed “honesty” as something they were looking for. Turns out he couldn’t handle my brand of honesty and that same double standard came out after just one date. It’s immature and petty when men behave this way but makes for some interesting content to write about!
