Barry, this might be one of the most balanced, pragmatic pieces of writing on IF I’ve read. So much of it is overly hyped and sensationalized and I worry about it’s effect on people who cannot achieve with it what you have. It sounds like you’ve been able to maintain a healthy relationship with both food and your body in the process. Many people can’t and it’s especially interesting if I consider the gender differences. I think there can be a time and a place for it, based on personal preference and this reflection on how it serves you, but we often forget that stress, anxiety, or neuroticism around food is not doing (most of) us any favors.
