As a frequent runner on bike trails, I’ve witnessed all of the above and tried to justify it in the same way. “It could always be worse.” I’ve said those words to myself and I’ve said them to other people and when I catch myself doing it I get so mad at myself. Yes, it could be worse but that doesn’t mean any of this is appropriate or acceptable. And you’re absolutely right — all of this could happen within an hour on a moderately trafficked trail, it wouldn’t take long at all to continue adding to the list. Incredible how this can be so damn triggering for some men.
